Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently midway through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the maiden important honor of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
